Yet another book that's made it onto my wish list: Gertie's New Book for Better Sewing: A Modern Guide to Couture-Style Sewing Using Basic Vintage Techniques. The book grew from her blog: Gertie's New Blog for Better Sewing which is full of tutorials.

Upcycled globe lights

These upcycled globe lights are a great idea for an old globe that may be out of date for practical use. This one can be found in the Etsy shop of TheBoominGranny.

One of the best office gifts I ever received was a light up globe which I have to this day. I love imagining traveling to all of the continents some day.

Origami flowers

Aren't these upcycled origami flowers made from book pages lovely? This particular set can be found in the Etsy shop of Greencycledesigns and they're made from the pages of a Harry Potter book.
