little lion studioI really like this cherry blossom tree wall decal from Little Lion Studio. It comes in more color combinations than shown, but these are my particular faves. Even though it's been been designed for a nursery, I could see this design working in other areas of a home as well.
Okay I admit it. I did watch a teensy bit of the royal wedding. My favorite part of the fashion watching is the hat fetish of the English. I mean there were some truly eye-popping creations. The show stopper — Princess Beatrice. Um, wow.
Here are a few Etsy shops with some hip hats:
1. BAM! comic book inspired fascinator by Janine Basil
2. Opulent peacock feather headpiece by Alozano Couture
3. Red beaded pillbox hat by Holly Young Headwear
Like this clever project by Angie over at Angelina la dawn tomato. Having recently amassed scores of paint chips while redoing the guest bedroom, I can definitely relate. I hate throwing away the vibrantly colored paper and she's found a great way to upcycle the chips.
Saw this great infographic on Mac vs. PC users this morning in my Okay Geek newsletter. The folks over at Hunch put together this study profiling user demographics that are eerily on the mark and sometimes quite funny. Click here to see the full infographic. I did my mental checklist seeing how closely I fit the norm. So readers out there, do you think I'm a PC user or a Mac user and what are you?
Magenta and orange have been a combo I've liked ever since the days of art school and a frustrating wire sculpture of said color combination. Here are some much more aesthetically pleasing examples:
1. Owl Mother's Day card by Pink Bathtub Designs
2. Zak Designs Magenta and Orange 4-piece mini bowl set
3. Beachy Vintage Button Statement Necklace by Button Soup Jewelry
4. Silk Fuschia and Orange striped tie from the TieBar

Allison over at her blog Reduce, Reuse, Redecorate made this groovy lantern from an old book. She gives you step-by-step instructions if you want to make your own. If your not the crafty type, you can also purchase from her etsy shop "Zipper 8 Lighting."
