A surprise was waiting in my e-mail inbox—a photo of custom-made cookies a client commissioned based on the logo I just designed for her practice. They were created by Cookies in Bloom in case you're in need of custom cookies yourself.
Kari Herer Photography
These fine art photographs are the marriage of original drawings and botanicals. The artist is Kari Herer and her work is available online in her Etsy shop.
Blah, blah, blah
Remember "yadda, yadda, yadda" from Seinfeld? Well here's its cousin "blah, blah, blah" in the form of notecards on a heavy felt stock with an inkwell and feather quill illustration by yours truly. You can find them in the shop if you need some notes.
For the Makers
How did I not know about the site For the Makers? For $29 each month you'll receive materials and instructions for four projects carefully selected and sourced by the founds Katie and Janet. There are also how-tos on the website and a great community of makers to share ideas and skills.
The Wreath is ready
The City of McKinney is having a "Deck the Halls for Dickens" fundraiser on the 25th at the McKinney Performing Arts Center to raise money for the annual Holiday event. They'll be auctioning off wreaths as part of the festivities and here's my contribution.
Anniversary pumpkins
Have you seen these foam-like material faux pumpkins that can be carved just like a real one? DragonflyDenDesigns has a very creative offering with these hand-carved wedding anniversary forevermore pumpkins. Just be mindful that they can only be used with battery-operated candles and not open flames.
Petite Painted Pumpkins
If you are knife-challenged or accident-prone, painting a pumpkin might be a better option than carving one. Check out this DIY tutorial over at PapernStitch.
