The New York Times has a great slide show story today on a reporter who set up his entire apartment with items from dollar stores.
Upcycled bathtubs
What is it about old clawfoot bathtubs that is so romantic to me? I love these upcycled bathtubs that have been given new life as couches by the talented people at Ruff House Art. Spectacular.
Scrabble Tiles
I've been seeing a lot of scrabble tiles lately in artwork and in upcycled products. Here are three of my Etsy faves:
1. Scrabble tile "Dream" photograph at JMBarclay
2. Scrabble tile rings at libertyjewelry
3. Scrabble tile coasters at MadeByMarcy
Pop each day Bubble Calendar
Now this is my kind of calendar. Designed by Stephen Turbek, this Bubble Calendar is nearly four feet tall and gives you the satisfaction of marking each day with a nice POP! How much is this 2012 calendar you ask? Why $20.12 of course. via | designtaxi

Vintage recipe book
Scored this vintage recipe book the other day from Oster. I love that photo on the cover. Hello 1960. All of the recipes are for your blender! Can't wait to try some out.
Bag love
I finally broke down and got real purse. I'm terrible about accessories. I will carry a bag till it falls apart and with no regard to whether it matches an ensemble or not. A fashionista I am not, but I admire those who are. Anyway, I was smitten with this mustard-yellow purse by Nine and Co.at Kohl's. It's also on sale. ;-)
