Pirate ship update
This is the same pirate ship snow cone shop that I posted about a few days ago. I was sad because it had set sail from the neighborhood, but lo and behold it appeared again at the Oktoberfest downtown! Yeah matey!
New bridal shower invitations
I know it's fall, but I've been feeling springy since the temperature finally dipped below 100. I've also been missing rain so much that I'm obessed with it. Hence the fascination with umbrellas and the idea for a new bridal shower invitation design. You can find them in the new wedding shop in pink or blue. Have you seen the blog Knock Off Decor? It's a wonderful collection from contributors of DIY projects inspired by high-end home decor brands. Just so no one gets the wrong idea—the site is showing you how to create looks for less, they are not advocating creating the products and selling them.
I'm sure everyone out there already knows about Pinterest, but just in case you haven't heard, it's a website that lets you create virtual "pinboards." For a visual person like me, it's a godsend as this is the way I work in my office. Pinning items to a bulletin board or taping inpiration to my walls is second nature to me. The beauty of the virtual boards is that you aren't limited to your four walls and you can organize boards by theme.
