Hello August
Peridot — the birthstone of August. I have a love/hate relationship with my birth month gemstone. The color has to be just right and often veers too far to the yellow range of green. I've come to like the color, but often wished I was born in a blue stone month when I was little. Here's the latest in the birthstone series of prints honoring the peridot.
Favorite photos
Do you ever come across a long forgotten image that you never got around to printing? This cherry blossom image is from our stint in California several years ago and I had completely forgotten about it. Exploring negative space and simpler compositions was the goal when setting up this particular shot.
The image is now in the charming ink Society6 shop as an archival Giclée print so I have no more excuses to procrastinate about getting a copy ordered and up on my wall.
