Biodegradable packaging

Can I just give a shout out to Stahlbush Island Farms and their biodegradable packaging? I feel so guilty when making a purchase and being left with more packaging than actual product. This company has my attention. Sustainable farming practices and a a package that is 100% biodegradable. The squash is also delicious. We do the traditional baking at 350˚ for 30 minutes with a sprinkle of brown sugar and butter.

Paris, Texas

We took a day trip a few weeks ago to Paris, Texas. We'd heard about the famous smaller scale Eiffel Tower topped with a red cowboy hat that graces the town and that we just had to see. We almost drove past it. There was another stunned couple in the parking lot who were from Brooklyn. We all just stood there and marveled, "We thought it would be bigger." Said couple graciously snapped this photo of us.

Sweets at Sucré

I recently had the pleasure of sampling the delights at Sucré while on a photo shoot in New Orleans. Their sweets are handmade and they use local ingredients whenever possible. The presentation of the confections and attention to detail are meticulous. I mean just look at those charming 4-color letterpress coasters! Don't fret if you can't get to New Orleans—they ship to addresses in the continental U.S.!

Daily{ish} iPhone Photo: Tapas!

I don't know how I missed this restaurant, but I'm glad we finally stumbled upon it. We'd been craving some true Spanish Tapas and so we found Cafe Malaga the modern way—we googled it. The restaurant is nestled on a side street near downtown McKinney and It's fabulous! A rambling back patio area with live music, loungy areas as well as tables and a walk-up bar really make this place unique. What's not to love? The dish in the second photo is sweet peppers stuffed with goat cheese and crostini. Yum.
