This business card design was inspired from time I spent as a freelance travel writer. Experiencing a new place and then reporting its delights was quite different from a purely personal vacation. It causes you to dig more deeply and get into conversations with locals to better understand what makes a destination special. The back of this card features a place for your social media info.
Here's the newest bridal shower invitation design featuring vintage rose illustrations. The typography is clean and classic with the date set in a very large size because I believe in the refrigerator theory. Important events get put on the fridge in our house so the date gets embedded in my brain. When budgets allow, I like to upgrade to color envelopes for invitation. They add so much to the presentation and elevate anticipation for an event or party.
I would love to make this pattern into wallpaper except that we have orange peel textured walls here in Texas so that would involve skim coating and the inevitable change of mind a few years down the road to change the walls. If you've ever taken down wallpaper you know what I mean. http://bit.ly/1s01QUd
This calligraphy box is one of the most beautiful examples of packaging I've ever seen. It's a brush calligraphy set and the ink stick is inside the fish box. The ink stick is called "Sumi" and here's a video tutorial on how to grind the stick and bind with water. The presentation is so lovely that I almost hate to use it!
